Has anyone actually found a reliable shop to buy a djembe in Europe?
Hey all, I've been playing guitar for years, so reading instrument specs is something I can usually manage. But djembes are a whole different story. Last month I walked into two music stores in my city thinking I'd find at least one decent option, and both had exactly one djembe on the shelf, clearly a tourist-grade thing with no indication of wood type or skin origin. So I started looking online, specifically for a shop to buy a djembe that ships to France, has real product descriptions, and ideally some kind of return policy. The problem is that most sites I land on either look abandoned (last review from 2019, anyone?) or they list "african wood" as the only information about the shell. That tells me nothing. Does anyone here have a concrete address, a site they actually ordered from? I'm not chasing the cheapest option, I just want something honest about what I'm getting. Any experience welcome.
