Hello!
I'd like to ask anyone who knows about a constant hum coming from my bass. It is a Vigier Excess Original from early 2000s.

One of the best basses ive ever touched, but i start noticing some constant noise\hum in my sound.

When I played at home at low volumes, I didn't pay much attention, but when I started playing more often on 100-watt+ equipment, I began noticing a constant high-frequency hum coming from the instrument.

It doesn't depend on interference or the balance knob position, but it does depend on the treble knob position and the built-in noise-canceling mechanism setting.
I have to turn the noise-canceling knob all the way up; this significantly reduces the noise, but it also significantly reduces the instrument's brightness. Some times i also cut some highs with rightmost knob. Only then no hum coming from the bass.

My question is: could something in my instrument have deteriorated over time or due to the actions of the previous owner? Or its ok?
Or should I just roll off the treble and ignore it? Its still great bass, but i want to keep it in best condition possible.

Any tips or pieces of advice appreciated, Thanks !
