It reads as though you either received an incorrect replacement (with radiused segments rather than the flat one for the SL model) or the segments aren‘t seating properly.

Is the arm a Schaller Floyd rose bar with the * collar?

Has anyone replaced one of these? They’re the tiny allen screws that are similar in appearance to saddle height screws. One of mine fell out into the void of my living room carpet, and I’d appreciate a link or anecdote about replacing them with something generic.

The site hasn't been working for me the last two days. The Megaswitch E's contacts are laid out specifically to prevent normal strat/RG switching. You'll likely have to purchase a separate switch to have the middle single-coil lead in position-3.

I forget if the stock pot values are 1meg or 500k on that model, but I'd sugest trying switching out one or both pots for 250s before you change the pups.

Just let me know when and where I can buy one. If one gets saved for NAMM, I'll buy (or at least drool on) it there.

Yup. In fact, the Shawn Lane model(s) are set up at the factory with the trem flush against the body, for pull-down only.

I found an old post from Ben stating that any Excalibur pickguards will fit the SL. I decided the stock Air Classics (And likely other low-output humbuckers) sounded better on the guitar than single-coils, and so only requested a single replacement pickguard from DJ.
