Hello,
I am new in this forum. Been playing hardrock style guitar for some years, I have two Strats which both have problematic tremolos (one vintage and one Floyd Rose Special) and am now considering buying a Vigier. I live in France but I will probably buy it from a webshop in Holland because they are cheaper there. I am trying to decide between the Excalibur Special and the Excalibur Shawn Lane, which one would you recommend for hardrock/metal? Also how do these compare to the ESP E-II Horizon III ?
Thanks and up the Irons!

Excalibur Special because the Shawn Lane is too different from a standard guitar.

So it is the master himself giving me this advice? How awesome

I live in Bourgogne but the Special is on stock at a webshop in Holland, my home country and I will probably purchase that one... I can't wait, there is nothing but good about your guitars on the internet

Salut

Hej rieni_otten,
Kan you please share the website you mentioned in Holland? I am also thinking to buy one here in Holland but I don't find a dealer yet.
Thanks

I had not bought the guitar yet because the supplier later informed me that the guitar was built in 2009 already.... before buying it I would like to know how this affects the tremolo. It's a Vigier tremolo and you developed a new Vigier tremolo in 2011, could you please explain me the difference between the 2011 and the pre-2011 tremolo?
Apart from all this I love everything about the Vigier Custom so I can't wait getting one!
Merci!

Welcome
Bonjour Patrice,
In the end I purchased an Excalibur Custom from a shop in Lyon, I had to get used to the sound and will change the pickups, but apart from that I love this guitar. Much better quality than all the Fenders and Gibsons I have, very low action, and I hardly have to tune it. You make fantastic guitars!
