Re: Buff out scratches
Try a mixture of MusicNomad Polish then Wax to help the finish really shine...Vigier use a polyurethane finish - to buff out any light scratches, if the polishes do not fully work, you can very, very carefully use the highest grit possible / wet sanding...but go very carefully or seek a professional ...

Re: Looking to buy individual iMetal fingerboard
Vigier does not sell just the fingerboards/necks separately ...honestly, your best option is to go down the route to purchase a Surfreter (iMetal version) and enjoy the craftsmanship of Vigier.

Re: Sound differences between Special and Supra
Hi there, Ok, so yes, the Maple cap does help accentuate the upper mids/highs a little, but this is depending on what you are playing - at volume/high-gain it will be hard to notice. The differences are very subtle. The main thing is more (for me) a case of aesthetics, with a beautiful Maple Cap ...

This is an option to add push/pull to split the Humbucker. Have a look at the vRef program and you will see it is possible.

Re: Action on Vigier Excess Original
It is very hard to diagnose over the forum, but I would recommend a professional luthier to inspect your Bass. If you need replacements these are available (where are you based - the distributor in your country should be able to help point you in the right direction if you need spares).

Re: Broken handle on vigier/hiscox case
If you are in the U.K. Hiscox themselves are best contact and would repair.
Vigier does not have stock of the Hiscox cases anymore, so would be the (awesome) new deluxe padded gig-bag, or sit tight for a new hardcase to be available in the future.

Re: When was the last update (if any) to the Excalibur Super 7 model?
Vigier have always undergone innovations...the 7's all share the most recent innovations;
Stainless Steel frets, Flexretainer, Zero-Fret-S, Teflon Nut. The Excalibur Special 7 was introduced in 2012 (and features the new Kill Switch) as well as French Flamed Maple top.

Re: When was the last update (if any) to the Excalibur Super 7 model?
Vigier are always evolving and innovating - a 2014 guitar will be amazing no matter any incremental changes since then.
I love my 2005 Ultra the best of all my guitars, even though it has many older features, it has just such a unique character.

Glad you got that sorted - for obvious reasons we can't get involved with your transaction between the dealer - but I am sure there are a lot of Vigier players out there who would take these off your hands (either here or via other selling platforms / forums).

You would have to purchase the complete tremolo unit for replacement. To do so, please contact one of our authorised dealers to process your order.

Excalibur Indus - Stainless Frets?
Nice…yes, they look like SS frets.
Indeed, as stated, we did start using SS frets sometime in 2010, certainly everything in 2011 has SS frets.

Excalibur Indus - Stainless Frets?
<t>For the SS frets, yes, this was 2011, it is possible some guitars in 2010 were * with SS frets. The only way to truly tell is by looking at them - Vigier does not have a record exactly which are/are not. FYI Nickel tends to tarnish more and can get that 'greenish' tint. Stainless Steel ...

Zero Fret Clicking Problem
I would say take it back to the dealer where you purchased to look at if under warranty - without looking or knowing the issue it is hard to say. The nut is 9-46 and can take 9-42, 9-46 or 10-46.

10-52 Elixirs - they last longer for me, my (aliens blood) sweat seems to corrode other strings in no time at all!

Have you kept to 9-42 or changed strings, if so did you change the nut too? You can try swapping the segments around...if not take it back to your dealer to inspect.
