I had a chance to hear Christophe Godin at our annual Vigier Namm Showcase in January 07. He played in a Trio with Trip Wamsley ( Vigier fretless Arpege Bass) and Tom Hurst ( Drums). It was one of the single most amazing performances of a trio that I have ever seen. Especially when one takes into consideration that the musicians only met just before the show, and never played together before. They swapped some sound files over the internet to prepare, but the show went without a hitch. The energy that flowed from stage was extreme, and Christophe is a true master of his art. Trip and Tom had his back in a major way, and one could feel the way the band fed of each other.
Look out for Christophe, especially you Europeans. You might be lucky enough to see him play at a venue near you.

Indeed that night at Tone Mercahnts was the highlight of an amazing show for me as well - I met some great people while at the winter NAMM and all the musicians that played that night were out of this world!!Anyone in the UK who managed to go to the London Guitar Show will have also witnessed Christophe's amazing and unique performances...people can find out more about Christophe at the following website CHRISTOPHE GODIN...also at the LGS was the young up and coming talent of Dudley Ross - definitely one to look out for. Check out Dudley at this address DUDLEY ROSS.

Sorry to join this thread a bit late.I had the unique honor and priviledge to work closely with Christophe during his US tour.  Aside from fantastic nightly performances with Morglbl I can tell you he is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.  I believe he played in Montreal several years ago with Pierre-Jean Gaucher.  He told me they had a winter flight from France and both of their guitars were in the cargo hold freezing all the way across the Atlantic ocean.  When they opened up the cases Pierre-Jean's guitar strings were frozen to the fretboard and it took a full day to thaw before he could play it.  But Christophe's Vigier was ready to rock right off the plane.  Score one for carbon fiber!cheers,  weitrhino
