Hi all,
I'm looking for a rather small tube amp (possibly a combo) in the price range <800€ for my Arpege I guitar. I'm mainly looking for clean sound and a nice crunch.
It's also mainly for low volumes but should be able to handle a medium loud drummer in rehearsal and a small stage.
So far the only thing I found was the Fender Deluxe Reverb but thats a bit too high on the price scale.
I'm open for suggestions

I highly suggest the Ibanez TSA15h and 1*12 cab. Great sounding tube amp with the classic Ibanez tube screamer built in.Also available as a 30w amp with a 2*12 cab.

I would save up for a Bogner Brixton 12 W. I tried it myself some weeks ago and cannot get it out of my mind ever since...
A more affordable amp would be Kustom (hv20t for example), they have the celestions and sound ok.
If you're still looking for something get a Blackstar studio 20. I'm using it through a 1x12 and I could drown out the drummer. It sounds awsome at a low volume. It simply sings. £400 for an amp like that is amazing!
I recommend a Fender Hot Rod DeVille™ 212 (2*12", 60W) amp. What ever you expect from an amp, this one has it! These no-frills amp is affordable, reliable and loud, and pairs extremely well with stomp boxes.

in case someone wonders, I got a second hand (more like seventh^^) Brunetti MC2 It's a great 1x12 combo and very flexible. sounds a bit too cool (cool meaning quite cold) in my opinion but by * a Celestion speaker instead of the Jensen Custom speaker it's now quite good. The price tag fell at 900 including the Celestion.

Ok, but the Celestion V30 is optional for this amp. In order to achieve a really good sound, you must also expected to spend a little more money. Anyway, it's a good alternative.
what about a Orange TH30 tube combo. You can switch to 15W and even 7,5 watt. Great sound!
Played a ESP LTD Les Paul with EMGs through an Engl Gigmaster which both sounded excellent together. Imagine it would sound great with the Excalibur too of course but the shop did have any.
I play my minty green GV Rock through a Carvin V3M and Bluguitar Nanocab - a 50w rig that I can swing around at head height.
The V3M sounds a bit harsh until you plug an EQ pedal in the send/return loop - I use a Zoom G2 in the loop, same as Ritchie Kotzen - set up 4 settings with different delays and volumes
Its quiet enough to get full headroom cleans and gain at home (7,22 & 50w settings), and plenty loud enough in our 6pc band, both live and in rehearsal. The line out also sounds great through a speaker emulator for home recording
