My ZF is worn and I’m getting a ping sound in the lower frets, can I turn it upside down or do I need a new one?

What year is your guitar? If it's from the era where the ZF is one piece that pops in and out, you can certainly try flipping it just to see if it helps. Otherwise, get in contact with your regional distributor to order a replacement fret. Having replaced a few of my ZFs, I find the maintenance is very simple.

It's a 2011 with the one piece ZF. I'm wondering that if I turn it upside down that it's slightly smaller on one end than the other to accommodate for the string thickness. Would that be true?

Tried to turn it over but the teeth are there. I can slide it a little towards the high E and the ping goes away but I’m going to need a new one. I’m in the USA, can you help me with getting a new one? Thank you

PM'd with US distributor email. Edit: For whatever reason, the PM system mangles messages with redundant font codes in brackets which shouldn't be visible in the published text. Please reach out to dj@vigierguitars.com
