I was trying to find comments on the output jack and found this http://www.harmonycentral.com/t5/Electric-Guitars/Vigier-guitar-truss-rodless-guitars/td-p/26768376.
basically, I noticed that occassionally the guitar output cuts out if the jack in the guitars output socket is pushed in the direction of the guitar strap pin. its like a kill switch if I tap the plug in that direction.
Is this normal or is it the way I play/ store my vigier?

My Indus does cut out like this. It's old though! Maybe just needs tightening inside. My retro 54 and Lane do not cut out. I wonder if the barrel grounds itself on the shielding paint if the jack is pulled up a bit. If so, try insulation tape around the barrel or on cavity.
Also I should say that since writing that post I now have a GV and am not underwhelmed at all by it.
Everything is secure. Checked under scratch plate and nothing loose. May have to get it Smart Guitars sometime. I can live with it in the meantime if i Keep my thigh out of the way of that area or allow sufficient slack in the cable when i fed it behind my strap.
I haven't but will try it - not sure how to do it inside the cavity, but will try the other option.
I would say, get some paper, or sellotape, or electrical tape and either wrap it around the jack, or wrap it in the cavity, anywhere whee the jack might hit the body. But, if you say everything is nice and tight, it's a curious thing. Not sure it would be grounding against the shielding paint, but it is something to try?
I got a dimarzio cable which is * with switchcraft connectors and this has solved the problem. The connector is totally wiggle free in the socket so no cutting out.
The jack problem comes often from the cable you are using. Made in China is not tooled properly at te right size and may introduce problem.
Use Rapco or Ernie Ball or DiMarzio cable, anything with a branded jack pug.
Do not isolate the jack from the paint shielding....
I've been using a dimarzio cable which has the switchcraft plug and it fits much better than the other make i used - no wobbling. I just received a rapcohorizon roadhog cable also with switchcraft ends and a perfect fit - this lead seems to have improved the tone too.

It's still not 100% perfect, but if you can get this in the jack and then tighten from inside the cavity it prevents the jack from spinning at least.
My new Switchcraft barrel jack is already way too intermittent within the six months or so since I installed it. Going to finally get rid of the recessed input jack and have a luthier rout/install a more typical input to have a more dependable solution.
If you want to get really fancy about it, you can actually instally a more typical 1/4" jack in the existing hole by using a forstner bit to tunnel out where the jack is now. I did that to my basses for tou and it's very clean and the jacks never fail. Hope that helps!
I think the solution is to install a jack but not a Switwhcraft. It looks like Switchcraft quality is not what it was....

Yeah, unfortunately, once thet go, they go. That's a big part of the reason we switched to Neutrik locking jacks recently.

They are NOT direct reoplacements for the barrel jacks we used previously. We had to modify the body and cavity shapes on more recent guitars and basses.
Soooo, if I got one, it would not fit my Vigier Retro Expert? Not without drilling out the body?
Just looked at it on the site, that is not a barrel jack. So you guys made a guitar with a jack that only you can get at with a special tool that fails every year or so? Wish this were not the case, otherwise this is my favorite guitar.
And actually , this will be the third time I have to deal with jack failure.
