Hello,

I have a Vigier GV Wood Mahogany. I wonder how I should clean the phenowood fretboard.

I have also curious to know what kind of paint is used for the body of the instrument, nitrocellulose lacquer, polyurethane...

Thank you very much, you make some excellent guitars

I can't answer your question, but I am jealous that you have a GV Wood mahogany!  I would love to have one of those!

Try MusicNomad products, it is what the factory uses to clean the guitars and is recomeneded by Patrice Vigier and his team.

Hi everyone,

This one is mine:

Yesterday, I used WD40 for fretboard and it works well. The fingerboard is not wood, so i can't use lemon oil or something like that.

I'd like to know more bout the lacquer.

Thanks so much

I am not an expert but I wouldn't not recommend WD40. One reason is because WD40 leaves a thin residue on any surface you have put it on, that is like a magnet to dust, finger oil, fluff and gunk. Your fingerboard might get adultery up more quickly if you use it. Certainly on metal parts like bridges, that have been treated with WD you can see this quite easily. Lots of gunk build up.

But if that is all you could think of to usI, I do understand why you did it!

;) The Zon guide recommends the usage of WD-40 for cleaning the phenowood fingerboards.

Aha. A small amount, then. I was thinking you were going to slap it on liberally. Well, if you are happy with that advice, sounds good to me.
