Is it Ok to remove the neck from the body for posting a Vigier which has only a softcase? Or is that not recommended? Or is it generally ok to post inside a guitar cardboard box with insurance? Cheers!

It will be ok to keep the guitar as one in the soft case (with insurance). Just make sure the cardboard box is well padded inside with bubble wrap / paper etc.

Thanks for the reply. But I am really unsure about trusting courier companies with such an expensive and prized instrument, as this guitar is travelling across Europe on the back of a truck. In principle though, is it ok to remove the neck? I have done it earlier on cheaper and less complex guitars, so does it create issues later on with a Vigier?

Do not worry, removing the neck will not cause problems.
