It is not hard.Remove strings or loosen them.Push out zero fret. Using small screwdriver if necessary. Push from the side . If you have problems, you can report back here.

Hi HKMatt, On my Shawn Lane Master neck, the zero fret slides out very easily. Maybe yours does, have you tried it?

There's one very much the same as yours, amber burst and all, in my local VG dealer. (Colchester) Where's yours from, TRAFG? I tried it out the other day, the neck shape and finish are quite different from my 2003 Indus, and I was quite surprised to feel it.

Ok. This may be a silly question, but do you have a rough idea of the cost for repairing the neck? Everything is structurally fine, it just needs new frets and a 0 fret. Thanks, Ben.
