I use 10-52 on all my Vigier guitras (Ultra's, Indus and Expert). I did have the nut cut for this gauge and they play perfect!

This is most strange indeed. All our guitars are covered by a two year warrenty on any manufacturing defects, it may be a good idea to contact your dealer and arrange to have the guitar looked at?

Surfreter Supra in California?
<r>You are in luck, those very nice people at Salwender International (based in California) are the US distributors of Vigier and you can contact them with help tracking down any Vigier instruments. Give Uwe or Tyler a call (800-464-3525) and they will be pleased to help you. <br><br> Vigier USA/Sal...

Excalibur Original vs Custom?
<r>Hi Olivier,<br> Yes the main difference is the addition of the flamed Maple top on the Excalibur Custom. The Maple does have different acoustic properties and his known for 'brightening' the tone of a guitar... also...

<r>All metals when they rub can become sharp, and yes, I can understand it becoming annoying! You could try replacing the worn saddles with new ones (you can contact a dealer to get a new set from Vigier), or have a look here - <a target="_blank" href="http://www.graphtech.com/string_saver_info.php"...

<r>Yes, I know...Diamond amps, mmmmmmmm, yeah for a head I have been thinking; Bognor, Diezel etc and it has to be for me Diamond, though my Dual Rectifier sounds nice at the mo, well apart from a very 'dry' clean sound. I think I will just replace the valve in my F50 like for like and get...

You should be able to move the saddles back and forth, the Allen screws that holds them in place also let them move to change the intonation.

Strings snapping on excalibur
<r>I have this problem when I use certain brands of strings, usually on the 'D' or 'A' strings though. You may have some sharp fragments on the saddles, you can try running a very fine needle file over them and see if that helps? <img src="./images/smilies/ex/134.gif"> <br>...

2010 bridge questions
<r>Hi,<br> We set the bridge with about 1 1/2 step pull back on the trem, if you want to tighten the claw at the back and pull the trem so it sits on the body that is fine. I am not sure what you mean about the saddles as you can adjust the saddles back and forth (for intonation) as well...
