<p>It's with great sadness, but due to moving house I need to let my Vigier Excalibur Special go to help raise cash.</p> <p>Came straight from the factory in 2008 and I've been the only owner. She's been gigged, but is still in immaculate condition, apart form a tiny scratch and some ...
<r>Yes I noticed it with both brands. I remember thinking it was a little strange at the time and wanting to ask about it but then life (and playing the thing!) got in the way. Seeing your post reminded me of it. A possible temporary solution could be that looking at your E string, the excess windin...
<r>Hey, I have an Excalibur Special and it's on the low E and A strings also (the rest are fine though). However the string winding doesn't appear over the saddle as much as yours, it's still enough to create ever so slight intonation problems. I haven't changed the set up since ...
A very late reply I know, but thats such a sad story you never got to meet him. A legend not only for guitar (design and playing) but multi-track recording and any other things that get overlooked because of his influence. RIP
<r>Please let me know too! I've been interested in the Tremol-no for some time because I want to down tune in many different ways, but like having my trem floating when in standard tuning and don't want to have it flush against the body for the sake of tuning stability (if that makes any s...
Hi, I just recently got a Boss RC-2 loop pedal and thought i'd make a short video. Still getting to grips with it but this thing is such a cool toy! <a target="_blank" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ccNTLaI1bc&feature=channel_page"> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ccNTLaI1bc&fea...
Great stuff! Especially 'Cause we've Ended as Lovers'.
I tried a fretless once....I was terrible lol. I have lots of respect for guys like yourself and Ron Thal that make it sound good.
Yes indeed! Lots to look forward to in 2009 including the unveiling of the GV guitar (can't wait!). Hope 2009 is a vintage year for all Vigier players and for the company themselves!
<r><QUOTE author="mattbowman"><s>
</s>The string tree is in purpose lose, this is to avoid detuning.<e>
</e></QUOTE> Wow I had no idea about this. In what way does it help with tuning? It amazes me how much thought is put into every aspect of your guitars! I am going to loo...
<r>It sounds like the exact same problem I had, and it sounded like it is coming from the nut or the zero fret. I thought it was going to be a really big job however.....<br><br>Check the string tree, and if it moves slightly tighten it, that is what I did with mine and it solved the problem.<br><br...
<r>Heard little bits of the album here and there so I can't really give an opinion on whether I like the songs or not. However, like you said, I admire the fact he didn't try and do 'Appetite part II', because its a completely different band he has gone in a different direction. ...
Hey there! Really enjoy this style, nice and laid back. I think what you played really works with the musical setting, I'm always guilty of doing too much but I think you got the balance right. How long have you been playing?
<r>Man I don't know what to say, its so.... bizarre! I just hope it sorts out soon so you can get on with playing. It must be so frustrating having waited so long and paid up and not be able to play it that much. Maybe like you said, keep playing and the problem may clear itself up (no idea how...
<r>Hi, I hope you don't mind me asking, but do your hands get sweaty easily? The reason I ask is that when I let a friend of mine use my Vigier a similar thing happens. When I get it back and go to play it, the neck feels slightly rough and sticky, sometimes with them 'fleks' of skin,...
Went to see him live last night WHAT AN AWESOME PLAYER!!!! technique, tone, intonation. Definitely one of the best Rock/Metal players I have ever seen.! Makes me wanna give up!
<r>Did NOT see this coming! I wonder what the reason is for doing this? I can't wait to see it so if there are any pics that would be really cool. I want one of each Vigier as it is, and now you guys have added a new guitar for me to lust after! Think I'm gonna go crazy ha ha. Would you do...
Looking into my crystal ball i think your Vigier will be........... AMAZING!!
Seriously though I've dabbled with 4 or 5 Vigiers other than may own and I promise you the playability across them all was flawless! So I'm sure yours will be too!
Congrats, looks a beauty.
