Hey!
I'm wondering if anyone can help.
I recently purchased a Vigier Excalibur Ultra. It's a super slick guitar and I'm very pleased with it. Other guitars I use include Suhr Modern, Parker Fly Deluxe.
The ease and over all "feel" really inspires you to play.
My only issue at the moment is the g string. It sounds dead/dull when picked open. I changed the strings and everything sounds great except the G string. Its by no means unplayable or shockingly bad.. but it is noticeably duller than the other strings.
I'm not sure what it could be. There's no fret buzz when play open and the zero fret is still installed.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
Pete

Hi Pete,
Hmmmm...Is the guitar new? If not, check for any wear on the zero fret and nut.

Hey,
I think I might have found the cause.. the G string seems to vibrate the string tree which cause a sense of damping to the sound.
