I received this question yesterday "Patrice whose guitarist would like to see play your instruments?"
I think it is an excellent question to ask all of you.
So, who would you love or think should play on Vigier?
Here are the names proposed until now (sept 7):
Alex Hutchings John McLaughlin Jimmy Herring Steve Topping Alex Lifeson Johnny Hiland Guthrie Govan Joe Bonamassa Alex Hutchings Brett Garsed Roine Stolt Uli Jon Roth Alex Skolnick John Sykes Doug Aldrich Jake E Lee Vivian Campbell Rocky George Mark Knopler Andy Timmons Patrick Rondat Tosin Abasi Blues Sarraceno Allan Holdsworth Richie SAMBORA Jeff BECK Larry CARLTON Adrian Belew Steve Vaï James Mc Gaw
Added up to september 17th
Brett Garsed Allan Holdsworth Buckethead Marty Friedman Nuno Bettencourt Vinnie Moore
Mattias ia Eklundh. Not sure if the rumours about Caparison guitars are true but he'd be an excellent endorsee. His clinics are also superb.
Alex Hutchings.Smooth, tasteful, technically amazing.

As it stands right now, Mattias is sticking with Itaru of Caparison. Not sure if the Caparison brand will continue, but I believe it's Itaru's intention to continue building in one capacity or another.

Understandable given their relationship, and a bit of a refreshing change these days considering the way so many folks seem to hop from brand to brand every five minutes.
Very true re Matthias - however - TT frets on Vigiers would be an interesting option.....
John McLaughlin? Jimmy Herring? Steve Topping? I was actually thinkgin Alex Lifeson would be ideal for teh Lane signature given he likes strats - but plays Gibson scale Johnny Hiland - another guy with small hands who woudl get on well with a Lane model
and closer to home in the UK - I think these guys have massive potential : Xander and The Peace Pirates' Keith Alexander - he's an incredibly gifted guitarist , and different to anyone else on the planet as you will see: http://www.shropshirestar.com/entertainment/2011/06/08/164244/
he could give broad publicity to Vigier given the correct support - by all accounts he's a really nice guy too
-------------------- Quote: First of all Shawn Lane... resignationthat is notwith us anymore
After Shawn other names are: Guthrie Govan, Joe Bonamassa, Alex Hutchings and Brett Garsed

Guthrie Govan plays a Vigier Surfreter Supra....just as I was typing this the new iGuitar magazine went live and there is a really good feature / video on Guthrie and his Surfreter!!!!! Have a look HERE!!!!

How about Roine Stolt. He's played Parker and Jet for a while. I think once he got his hands on a Vigier there would be no turning back. Could seem him with a GV.

A great one to steal from Yamaha: Issei Noro move to Surfretter.
Great player I think and long long career known for fretless guitar pioneer. Yamaha SG-1000 Fretless, Yamaha SG-3000 Fretless, Yamaha SG-IN fretless, Yamaha SG-Mellow Fretless, Yamaha Doubleneck Electric fretted/fretless, more.
Buckethead plays a Vigier Excess Indus bass during a Boosty Collins-inspired slap/pop interlude in his set. It'd probably take building him an oversized white Shawn Lane model to get him to leave Gibson, though.
Though unfortunately he could not play it of course, Jason Becker is one of my favourite guitarists of all time and I believe no-one is making a signature model for him anymore. An Excalibur with multi-coloured, numbered fret markers, wow! :D
